Continuing to Use Your Desktop After the Course Finishes

A handy feature of DaDesktop is that course participants can easily keep using their course machine for practice after the course wraps up. Before the course finishes, participants get an email asking if they'd like to continue using their desktop machine once it's all over.

 

Each participant's course desktop is usually removed shortly after the course ends. If you'd like to hang on to yours so you can practice the labs from the course, you can clone your course desktop into a 'Standalone Desktop' for future use.

Just head to your Course, find your Desktop machine, and click the 'Use desktop after course' button beside it.

 

Next, DaDesktop walks you through the straightforward process and lets you 'Enable' the option.

Once enabled, you'll see the following appear next to your course machine:

To get to your Standalone machine after the course finishes, click on the Standalones menu at the top of your screen.

Any machines that haven't been used for a month will be taken down, but we'll send you an email well ahead of time to give you plenty of notice if you'd like to keep using any Standalone machines you've got.
