Creating Organisations

Creating an Organisation is usually done using an organisation created with the same name as your username when you register.

However, it can be handy at times to create a new Organisation, perhaps as a Company name, for when multiple users from the same company are using DaDesktop.

There are two ways to create an Organisation: one (the default) where an organisation owner account is also created at the same time, and the second where no organisation owner user account is required, e.g. if it already exists.

• The account owner's email address is required, along with a password, first name, and last name. Roles can be chosen as needed. The currency is set by the portal used, i.e. dadesktop.com defaults to EUR, while dadesktop.cn uses CNY.
• The Organisation name is also required, together with a code. Keep the code short—once set, it cannot be changed.
• The settings for Allowing course recordings or publishing course recordings apply to ALL recordings within an Organisation. The same goes for the Receiving Promotional Emails setting. Setting this here applies it to the entire organisation.
• 'Allow Recordings' determines whether Recordings are available across the whole organisation.
• Private servers can be selected if needed. Note that a server must be marked 'Private' before it can be selected here.
